Did you know sitting for too long can shorten your life span?

A new published this study led by the University of Sydney has found that too much sitting can shorten your life.

In the study, adults who sat 11 or more hours per day had a 40 percent increased risk of dying in the next three years compared with those who sat for fewer than four hours a day.

Researchers took into account their physical activity, weight, and health status. The study of more than 200,000 people is published in Archives of Internal Medicine on April 2, 2012.

A Slouched Posture at work causes neck and low back pain and tension, headaches, a weak pelvic floor and corset muscle!

Counteract the stress of sitting with the exercise in this video above, which benefits your body, mind and stress levels.

Do the exercise to energize and release tension and stress, while also lengthening the muscles that get tight from sitting for too long at a desk or computer. Connect to breathing with your diaphragm and your letting go sounds.

You can do this exercise after work and notice how it affects your body-mind and stress levels.

Therapeutic Positioning To Reduce The Stress Of Sitting All Day at Work:

Lay on your back with your feet together. Allow your hips and knees to widen. Place a pillow underneath your upper body to raise the chest and abdomen. Bring your arms out like a T.
This posture helps to lengthen the muscles that become tight and weakened from sitting at a desk for too long.
