They also have a healthier body image. Parents that touch with a loving intention and massage their children benefit their child for a lifetime. Massage is a great way to bond and nurture parent-child relations. We learn how to listen, communicate, trust and feel safe in the world through how we are touched. Men and women both possess qualities that are masculine and feminine. When you balance the feminine and masculine aspects within yourself, regardless if you are male or female, you get to experience the complete and powerful human being you were designed to be. We feel our wholeness and healthiest when we are able to bring out these aspects of ourselves. Being balanced means that we are in touch with all the parts of who we are, and express the whole spectrum of our being. This means that we allow ourselves to be action oriented, firm and logical, but we also allow ourselves to be vulnerable, nurturing and emotional. It is our nature to embody both masculine and feminine qualities, however in our past history and culture, we have witnessed an over-emphasis on the masculine energies which have dominated and brought us off-balance. Some believe that today...

[embed]http://www.youtube.com/v/co391PR7eZw[/embed]   Dance and music have been an important part of my life since I was born. I remember my dad would get us ready for kindergarten to the rhythms of samba, salsa and Olivia Newton John. As an adult I still use these to start off the morning right to get my daughter ready for school and for me to feel more energized. Seventeen years ago, I began my career as a physical therapist working with infants and children and realized the power of music and dance to get my young clients motivated to do their physical therapy and have fun with their parents. I also used dance and music as a yoga teacher and chose specific tracks to evoke a certain mood. I loved guiding my yoga students through a rhythmical vinyasa flow with a touch of empowered femininity. I learned how to belly dance about 10...

Opportunities for us to communicate authentically, grow, heal and connect to who we are are everywere and everyday. I recently wrote an article entitled "How To Meet Smart, Sexy and Spiritual Men‚Äù which was featured in MindBodyGreen. It included a photo of a naked spiritual-yogi rock star Adam Levine from the band Maroone 5, who's recent album is called Overexposed.                   The article I wrote coupled with the photo selected by Mindbodygreen and the comments posted on what a sexy, spiritual man means to the readers, brought to my awareness how sometimes we judge people and articles written based on their external appearances (like rock star and tattoos) and not their depth or content. Smart, sexy, and spiritual man means many different things for many different people and we may not all agree on what that meaning is. This brought to my awareness of how sometimes we may be...

Gossip: Casual or unconstrained conversation or reports about other people, typically involving details that are not confirmed as being true. Have you ever thought of how much time in your day you spend talking bad or commenting to someone about someone else without really knowing what is true?   Did you know that when we talk bad about others we actually are stressing our bodies out and lowering our frequency or vibration? We are harming ourselves when we gossip and comment about other people and what we assume about them. My seven year old daughter tells me about a little girl in her 1st grade class that is so mean. This little girl excludes my daughter or tries to take her best friend away. I ask my daughter if she is ever mean to anyone in the past. She responds yes. I ask her if she feels this little girl...
